Story Den Start a board

Work anniversary card

A work anniversary card with the years in it.

For 5, 10 or 25 years at the same place. Send one link to the team. Everyone tells a memory of working with them out loud in two minutes, and on the day they get a board of stories and voice messages from the people they've worked beside.

What ten years is made of

Anniversary cards tend to say the same thing: congrats on ten years, here's to ten more. The years themselves are made of smaller things, like the bad quarter they got everyone through or the new hire they took under their wing. Ask people for one memory and that's what comes back.

The card that goes round

Happy 10 years! 🎉

Here's to 10 more – Raj

Couldn't do it without you

A Story Den anniversary board

On a new hire's first morning, the order system went down. "I was sure I'd broken it." Marcus walked over with two coffees and said, "Happens every March. Sit down, I'll show you the trick." He showed the trick, then where the good parking was. "I've been asking him things ever since."

How it works

  1. 1

    Make the board

Say who it's for, add a line about them for Athena if you like ("ten years running the warehouse"), and pay once. You get one link for the team.

  2. 2

    Everyone talks for two minutes

Teammates, old managers and people from other departments each open the link, add their name and tell one memory out loud. Athena asks a follow-up or two. Then they can leave a short voice message.

  3. 3

    Give it on the day

Every memory as an illustrated watercolour card, the best lines pulled to the top, and all the voice messages to play in a row. Share it at the team meeting or send the link with a note.

Why it works for a work anniversary

People who've moved on can join

The manager who hired them or the teammate who left for another company can be on the board too. If they were part of those years, send them the link.

Recognition that's about them

A gift card or a plaque looks the same for everyone. A board is made only of what people remember about this one person.

Quick to set up

If you look after recognition for a team, a board takes a few minutes to start. The link does the collecting, so there's no card to walk from desk to desk.

Their voices, kept

The voice messages stay on the board. Come the next anniversary, they can press play and hear the whole team again.

One payment. No subscription.

The board, its pictures and every voice message are theirs to keep.

Questions

How far ahead should I start?

A week is plenty for most teams. If you're inviting people who have left the company, give it two weeks so the link has time to reach them.

Can people who have left the company add a memory?

Yes. Anyone you send the link to can join from their phone's browser, wherever they work now. Your plan sets how many people can add a memory: up to 8 or up to 50.

Do people need an account or an app?

No. They tap the link, add their name and talk, right in their phone's browser.

Will Athena ask about their personal life?

No. On a work board, Athena keeps to what colleagues saw at work. She doesn't ask about private life, health or money.

Can it be a surprise?

Yes. They only see the board when you give them its link. Share the link for adding memories with everyone except them, because anyone with that link can see the memories so far.

Who can hear the voice recordings?

Each person's short voice message plays on the board, so anyone with the board's link can hear it. The rest of the interview recording is never played on the board. We use it to write that person's card and to improve Story Den, and we never sell it or let AI companies train on it.

What if I change my mind?

If nobody has added a memory yet, we'll refund you in full within 14 days of paying. Just email contact@storyden.io. The details are in our terms.
