Story Den Start a board

Group thank-you card

A thank-you from everyone they helped, in their own voices.

For the teacher at the end of the school year, the coach after the last game, or the neighbour who cleared everyone's walk all winter. Send one link. Everyone tells a memory of them out loud in two minutes, and they get a board of stories and voice messages from the people they helped.

Thank you, with the reason attached

Most thank-you cards say "thanks for everything", and the person reading it never finds out what the everything was. Ask people for one memory and they say exactly what they're grateful for: the extra practice after school, or the one sentence that changed their mind.

A card everyone signs

Thank you so much!! 🌻

You're the best – Mia

Thanks for everything!

We'll miss you!

A Story Den thank-you board

Coach Ray had a kid on the team who never passed the ball. "That was me." He never yelled about it. Before the last game, he took him aside and said, "Today you're the one who finds the open player." Three assists that game. "I still think about it whenever I'm the one in charge of something."

How it works

  1. 1

    Make the board

Say who you're thanking, pick work or family, add a line about them for Athena if you like, and pay once. You get one link to share.

  2. 2

    Everyone tells one memory

Students' families, teammates, volunteers or neighbours each open the link, add their name and talk for about two minutes. Then they can leave a short voice message saying thanks.

  3. 3

    Give it to them

Every memory as an illustrated watercolour card, the best lines at the top, and all the voice messages in a row. Send the link with a note, or play it for them in person.

Why it works for a thank-you

For people who rarely get thanked properly

Teachers, coaches, nurses and volunteers hear "thanks" all the time. They hardly ever hear the story of what they actually did for someone.

No occasion needed

You don't need a holiday or a milestone. The last day of school or a hard year someone helped you through is reason enough.

Easy for a group to do

One person sets it up and shares the link. Everyone else spends two minutes on their phone, whenever it suits them.

Something to come back to

The board is a link they keep, with every voice message ready to play again on a rough day.

One payment. No subscription.

The board, its pictures and every voice message are theirs to keep.

Questions

Can a whole class or team join?

Yes. The larger plan has room for 50 people, which covers most classes and sports teams. Each person opens the link on a phone and talks for about two minutes.

Can kids add a memory?

Yes, with a parent. Children under 13 shouldn't use Story Den on their own, so a parent opens the link and stays with them while they talk. Apart from their name, there's nothing to type.

Is it for work or for family?

Either. When you set it up, you pick work or family. On a work board, Athena keeps to what colleagues saw and doesn't ask about private life. A family board is for family and close friends.

Can it be a surprise?

Yes. They only see the board when you give them its link. Share the link for adding memories with everyone except them, because anyone with that link can see the memories so far.

Who can hear the voice recordings?

Each person's short voice message plays on the board, so anyone with the board's link can hear it. The rest of the interview recording is never played on the board. We use it to write that person's card and to improve Story Den, and we never sell it or let AI companies train on it.

What if I change my mind?

If nobody has added a memory yet, we'll refund you in full within 14 days of paying. Just email contact@storyden.io. The details are in our terms.
